Amaya at Jatipadang
October 31, 2008
About the location:
“Jatipadang or ‘Garden of Teak’; the name is a self-explanatory;blessed with lust greeneries and mature trees. An epitomize of secluded heaven, any building in this compound will enjoy a natural scenery as its landscape.”

Amaya’s architecture approach:
Architecturally, the 11 villas and 8 lodges were a dynamic interpretation of tropical abodes.
A crisp and elegant swooping pitch roof top each of the houses, creating a series of triangular composition within the green setting. Beneath, the extensive use of glass maximize the view of surrounding trees and allowing an abundant of natural light piercing to its spacious interior.
The compact size lodge is also designed with spatial coherence in mind. A series of staircase and wall incision connect each of rooms in this 6 m wide unit, resulting in a well lit spaces, even in the center of the unit. Prominently shaped circular staircase helps articulate the lodge’s austere facade
The elegant composition of buildings compliment the tranquility of it’s surrounding.
